It is best to dry filaments before usage, especially in humid climates. Filaments that have taken up moisture will exhibit stringing, brittleness (PLA), poor surface finish, poor interlayer adhesion etc. Extremely hygroscopic materials like PA (Nylon) can take up moisture in a matter of minutes, even before the first layer is printed!

Polymaker PolyDryer is a filament drying system that consists of a heater unit and a dryer box. When not in use, the dryer box can be sealed to keep filament in an optimal dried state.
